Jeans machine darning, less visible (for my husband)

What I did:

Another pair of my husband's jeans had some holes. I used the technique of interior patches and exterior machine darning. While sometimes I make these sorts of mends very visible, this time I wanted them to be close to invisible, so I used a matching thread for the machine darning.
