Make

Potholder made out of leftover fabric.

Reusable gift bags (client provided fabric).

If you'd like me to sew/knit something for you out of an old garment or reclaimed fabric/yarn, please use my Upcycling Request Form to describe what you want. I have an extensive stash of fabric/yarn/old garments that can be used for upcycling, or you can give me fabric/yarn/garment(s) of your own and I can transform them into something new for you.

Upcycled curtain from old (c. 1991 and 2010) flannel sheets.

The upcycled curtain is reversible. The two layers of fabric help to block more light pollution at night.

On the form, you can choose among options (e.g. gift bags, scrunchies, potholders) that I've made in the past and can make relatively easily. Or, if there is another type of garment or accessory that you'd like, you can use the form to request it. There are, of course, limitations to what I could make (for instance, I won't make anything that requires an in person fitting.) But if you describe what you want, I can let you know if I can do it for you.

Srunchies made from (R-L): old pajamas, old t-shirt, and scraps from tie-dye experiments.

Scrunchie made from old fabric scraps.

As I do more and more upcycling projects, I will start to offer more types of items. To get updates on new items, sign up for my mailing list.

L and R pillowcase were vintage bolster-size pillowcases that I shortened to standard length; with the scraps I made a third standard length pillowcase (shown in middle).

Upcycled apron: made from old shorts.

Scrunchies made from (L - R): scraps leftover from 2020 masks, old pants, and old skirt.
