These hand-warmers were originally a pair of socks I had knitted for myself. The foot part of the socks eventually got so many holes that it didn't feel worth it to mend them, but the ankle part was in good condition. I cut off the foot parts of the socks and then picked up and knitted the stitches at the raw edges to finish them neatly.
A trio of socks I patched. Sometimes patching socks is faster and longer lasting than darning them.
