De-logoing a tote bag
What I did:
This tote bag had a logo on it that didn't speak to me. Or, rather, it spoke too loudly: I tend to dislike the visual clutter and noise of words and logos on clothes and accessories unless I have a strong connection to the organization behind the logo.
I sewed a napkin with a flag design over the annoying logo. The napkin-flag was made and gifted to me by a family member (the flag has family significance). The design was originally dyed, but it faded, so I cut four red stars and a blue grindstone out of fabric scraps and sewed them on over the faded dyed design. I kept the top edge of the napkin-flag-patch open so that it could serve as a pocket.
