De-Logoing and adding a pocket to a tote bag

Date:
What I did:

Before

This tote bag had lots of logos on it. I also had some cool fabric scraps left over from one of my brothers doing a silkscreen project.

Before: one side of the tote bag — lots of logos!

Before: the other side of the tote bag — still lots of logos!

Before: here are some of the fabric scraps that my brother had silk screened — note the really cool monarch chrysallis print.

After

I sewed the fabric scraps to each side of the bag, covering up all of the logos with my brother's artwork. (Click any picture to see a larger, "gallery" view.)

After: one side of the tote bag

After: the other side of the tote bag

After: the woodstove / bird side of the bag is actually a pocket, created by simply leaving the top line of stitching on the patch undone.
