Copying a child's kurta style shirt
Date:
What I did:
My clients' child had an Indian kurta style shirt (below: right) that my clients wanted me to copy in a black/green batik fabric (below: left). Being cautious, I decided to first make a copy out of some fabric that had originally been a large man's shirt that I had dyed with indigo. This first copy (below: middle) actually turned out okay, and then I was able to improve my technique in the final copy (below: left).
